History:

In addition to the larger Köpfleschanzen, in 1977 the junior hills at Mahdtal in Riezlern-Egg were constructed by Willy Schuster and Richard Erlebach to promote the training of young ski jumpers at Kleinwalsertal. These hills were still in use after Köpfleschanzen were closed in 1986, and also used for junior competitions during the time of the larger Fürst-Waldburg-Schanzen. However, also the Mahdtal-Egg-Schanzen were given up in mid-2000s and instead the junior jumpers of SV Casino Kleinwalsertal trained on Schattenberg-Schanzen in neighboring Oberstdorf.
