The Snowflake Ski Club was founded in 1922 and can look back on a long history of ski jumping and ski jumping hills. From 1923 to 1925, the ski jumping hill at Holte Farm was used. After that, the activities moved to the Anderson Farm in Timber Coulee. In 1939, the ski jumping hill in the Seas Branch in the southeast of Westby was built. With the Second World War, however, ski jumping activities came to a standstill. In 1947, the Snowflake Ski Club was reorganized and held another jumping event in the Seas Branch. After that, however, in 1947/48 the activities were relocated to the Timber Coulee and the predecessor of today's Snowflake large hill was built.
