History:

The Innsbruck ski club opened its first permanent hill at the Husslhof guesthouse with an international ski jumping event on January 18-19, 1908. Hauptmann von Eccher won the competition with the best distance of 21 meters, while Bühler from Munich set the record of 25 meters out of competition. Before the first World War, many competitions took place on the Husslhof ski jump. However, due to the expansion of the Westbahnhof, the ski jump, which was located at the end of Andreas-Hofer-Weg towards Bergisel, had to be abandoned afterwards. Instead, the new ski jumps at Igls or Mutters were used, before Bergiselschanze was built in 1927.
