As Fellhorn-Schanze had become to small for the ambitions of the ski jumpers from Kleinwalsertal, ski club Riezlern built a new ski jump at Borhalde, close to the town center of Riezlern. The wooden inrun structure was set up on 1936-11-30 and on December 20th Borhalde-Schanze was already inaugurated. It was frequented very well, but with the beginning of World War II most of the local ski jumpers had to join the military. Thus, the ski jump was deconstructed in 1944 and instead in 1949 Köpfleschanze at Zwerwald was built. Today a small camping site is located at the former place of Borhaldenschanze.
