History:

The ski club Stützerbach 1876 managed two ski jumping hills in its history, which both were situated near the former porcelain manufacture and later glassblowing and were about 300 meters apart, the Schanze am Roten Berg and the Erich-Geburtig-Schanzen.
Around 1920 the “Schanze am Roten Berg” was constructed. At first this ski jumping hill was only natural, but in order to make larger distances possible a wooden take-off and additional inrun construction were set up at a conversion in 1926/27. After World War II the jump was renewed again, but the very last competition shall have taken place in winter of 1951/52.
The Erich-Geburtig-Schanze at Massenmühle was set up in middle 1930’s and was recalibrated in 1952/53 and reconstructed according to existing drawings. With the new name consecration a deserving sportsman of the club was honoured. In 1969 the jumps was again modernized. Shortly before that, the smaller plastic covered youth ski jumping hill was built in 1966. A very interesting fact is, that not only the districtal championships of Potsdam, Cottbus and Frankfurt/Oder were very often hosted on these jumps, but also GDR championships of youth jumpers took place. The very last competition then was hosted in winter 1985.
