In 1920 the very first ski jumping hill of the Yugoslavian Kingdom was set up by Dr. Ciril Žižek from Ljubljana at "pr' treh hruškah" at Bohinjska Bistrica. Joža Pogačar of SK Ilirija from Ljubljana performed the first ski jumps and set the first national record of 9 meters. In 1921, the first national skiing championships were held with ski jumping on the Žižek ski jump. In 1924, Viktor Šubert improved the record to 14.7 meters, and in 1925 Joža Pogačar to 15.5 meters.
