As a replacement for Köpfleschanzen, Fürst-Waldburg-Schanzen K80 and K51 were built in 1987 at "Gatter" in Schwende near Riezlern. The property was owned by the prince of Waldburg-Wolfegg, which is why the hills, which had a functional cabin and a judges tower, were named after him. In 1988 and 1989, the tradition of Easter competitions was shortly revived on the new ski jumping hills. Winner of both competitions was local hero Werner Schuster. However, the hills were not as extensively used and already renatured in 2000. For junior training at Kleinwalsertal, there were still the Mahdtal-Egg-Schanzen.
