History:

The large Rieslochschanze in Bodenmais was inaugurated on 1949-01-30 and only two years later enlarged into a 60 meter hill. On 1958-03-08 a record number of 12,000 spectators attended the international competition at Riesloch (also spelled as Rißloch).
In 1980 the two smaller plastic covered hills were built for summer training. But they were already dismantled in 1997 and the larger ski jumping hills cannot be used for a long time already, too.
