Unfortunately, Husebybakken had a short lifespan. It was built in 1933, next to the Haugtun Skole and was supposed to be used mostly by kids. In March 1934, the inaugural competition took place, where only pupils participated. A week later, the competitors field was extended and so 90 (!) participants took part of it.
Such competitions took place annually, the last one of these was on January 21st 1940. According to locals, the longest distances were around 25 meters. During World War II, the hill was not in use anymore and finally demolished after the war ended.
