History:

Engåsbakken was built in 1920. With its size it was already one of the biggest hills of the whole country back in the day. due to the steep area, there were no artificial elements required, which anyway would have been difficult to place. However, the full potential in terms of distances of the hill never would appear.
Before the hill was closed in 1954, there was a final competition, in which also the Japanese jumpers, who would participate at Holmenkollen Skifestival later, also took part in.
