History:
Newly founded Dovre Ski Club of Fargo and Moorhead built a ski jumping hill at the banks of Red River in the north of Moorhead, at the location of what is now the country club, in December 1922. The inrun tower of the ski hill was 20 meters high and it extended 35 meters over the frozen river, which also served as outrun. Competitions on the 30-meter hill were very popular and attracted up to 1,000 spectators. In 1935, the ski jump was deconstructed and the lumber was re-used for the construction of the new, larger jump at Fargo.
