History:

Before World War II, Saint-Gervais-les-Bains had the Tremplin du Vivier ski jumping hill, which allowed jumps up to 50 meters. After the war, the 40-meter hill at Saint-Nicolas de Véroce was set up. Until recently, there were two snow ski jumping hills inside the ski area next to the restaurant with the same name Tremplin de la Croix. In summer the ski jumping section of the local ski club is usually practicing in nearby Les Contamines.
