History:

This hill on the Unterleiten at Schliersee was inaugurated by its constructor, Norwegian Jens A. Jäger, Bavarian Champion of Nordic Combined in 1922, on February 22, 1925. The construction of it was financed by hosting a show comeptition on the Gulbranson-Schanze, in which 30,000 German Mark were collected.
After World War II the Jens-Jäger-Schanze was opened again and equipped with floodlights in late 1950's. The night competitions were very popular, but ended abruptly in 1965, when a landslide destroyed the ski jumping hill.
