Once there was even a 60 meter ski jumping hill in the small spa village Kleinschmalkalden in Thurnigia, which had been destructed long time ago already. The further ski jumps at Solmbach K38 and K11 weren't used anymore as well and dilapidating.
In late 2014 the NC group of WSV 07 Kleinschmalkalden started re-activating the K11 junior ski jumping hill and even added another small K7 jump. In the winter season 2014-2015 both hills were used for first jumps on snow. A fundamental renovation and covering with new plastic mattings for both hills followed in spring and fall 2015. Furthermore, a K5 and a K3 hill were added.
