History:

The jump in the west Norwegian large city of Bergen was one of the biggest ski jumping hills of Norway in the 1930’s. It was opened on 1937-11-15 by Olympic Gold Medal winner Birger Ruud. In the following years until 1940 regular competitions were hosted. In 1948 the last ski jumping tournament was held, in which Birger Ruud was participating once again.
But now it has been closed for a long time now and the take-off was become part of a cemetery over the years. The inrun made of stone was also changed into an artwork called “Him­mel­haugen” and has therefore been planted with flowers.
