History:
Grønnåsen ski jumps in Tromsø are located far north of the Arctic circle. They were built from 1987 to 1993 and are frequently used.
In 2011, the K45 hill was equipped with a porcelain inrun track, just as the K70 has one.
The children's hills K12 and K6 have been modernized from 2017 to 2019 and were covered with plastic mattings for summer use. Furthermore, there are plans to modernize also the larger hills and convert them for all-year use.
The region of Tromsø even wanted to apply for the Olympic Winter Games 2018, but just like the bid for 2014 it was rejected by the Norwegian government. It would have been the first Games north of the Arctic circle!

Ski Jumping In December 2018, Tromso
Hello there,
I am holidaying in Tromso in December 2018 for my 50th birthday and would love to see some ski-jumping. I was just wondering if I would be likely to watch any at that time?
Kindest regards,
Andi Jones
