History:

At Königsbronn in Eastern Alb the Herwartschanze was constructed as a K30 in 1935. In 1967 the old wooden inrun tower was replaced by a steel construction and the ski jump was enlarged into K45. Addtionally floodlights were installed and in 1974 the plastic covered 30 meter junior jumping hill could be completed.
In early 1990’s ski jumping activities lay down, but since there has been a steady increase. In 2000 the plastic covered beginners jumping hill K16 was inaugurated and two years later also K35 was renovated and covered with new plastic mattings. The larger hill, on which now jumps up to 60 meters would be possible, is no more useable, but SC Königsbronn still hosts competitions on the two smaller hills in every summer and winter season.
