History:

In 1960 the construction of the ski jumping hill complex in Lysva started, which included four ski jumps from 10 to 60 metres. The first one was K40 in 1960 (its record-holder N. Vaganov - 35 metres) and in 1965 K60 was constructed (the farthest jump was performed by J. Podgorbunskij - 54.5 metres). It was enlarged over the years, first to K70 in 1974 (the record at the time was held by B. Shvetshev - 78 metres), and in 1988 to K75 (the longest jump at the time was made by P. Pashkin - 88 metres), and finally in 1999 to become an 80-metre facility with a record of more than 100 metres. Nowadays, no one jumps on the largest hill anymore, it suffered the same fate as a similar facility in Kudymkar. The smaller ski jumping hills are fortunately still in operation, and in 2014 an additional K50 was built on the complex, which is equipped with plastic mattings.
The local children's and youth sports school and training centre have raised many good ski jumpers and Nordic combined athletes, participants at both Olympic Games and World Championships.
Interestingly, the Lysva ski resort even hosted the veterans' world championships at one time, in which jumpers from the USA, Canada, Finland, Norway, Germany, Estonia, Sweden and Russia took part.

Igelit
