History:

The "Timp Haven" ski area was created in 1944 below the 3582 meters high Mount Timpanogos in Provo Canyon. The Timpanogos Mountain Club also built a small 15-meter ski jump. It was enlarged in 1948 and probably used until 1968. Then the actor Robert Redford bought the area and developed it into the Sundance Resort that still exists today.
