History:

Joe Nowak provided in 1961 the beginning of the construction of a downhill slope, the ski jumps and cross-country trails at Cloquet. In 1962 the “Ski Chalet” was built up and the 20 m and 35 m hill were built, the steel for the inrun tower was donated by a railroad company. The opening jump was made by Joe personally in 1963. From 1971 to ’76 the annual Nordic Ski State Meeting of Minnesota took place at Cloquet.

Cloquet Ski Jumps

All jumps are in great condition this year and being skied Tuesday and Thursday evenings as well as Sunday afternoons weather permitting!

This ski jump area is up and running. The Cloquet Ski Club maintains the jumps and we have a good group of kids jumping 5k, 10k, 20k and 40k jumps.
