History:

The Sala silver mine in Västmanland was in operation from the 16th to the 19th centuries. In the 1960s, there was also a ski jumping hill by the pit that stood on the hills made from mining waste. It was built by the two Färnström brothers who attended the nearby school. It was probably possible to jump up to 25 meters on the hill.
