History:

Already in 1930's TV Unterstrass built a skiing hut at Uetliberg and also set up a small ski jumping hill in summer 1937.
Based on the initiative of Ernst Berger, the new ski jump next to Alt Uetliberg farm was built in 1954, with 4000 working hours spent by members of several ski clubs from Zürich. It had a 12 meter high inrun structure made from steel pipes, which should allow jumps on 35 m and more. There was a team competition of different ski clubs of Zürich in 1958. The last competition on Uetliberg-Schanze was held in 1985. After many winters with only little snow, it was deconstructed in 1992-93.
