At Saint-Imier (Sankt Immer) in Swiss Jura the ski club was already founded in 1903 and became a founding member of the Swiss Ski Federation. At the same time, the funicular to Mont-Soleil (Sonnenberg) was built and in 1906 the small ski jump "aux Combes" was set up there. The first competition on the larger jump, which was constructed with the support of three Norwegians, was carried out in 1908. In 1934 the ski jump was even equipped with a wooden inrun tower, but finally removed in 1956. Furthermore there was the hill "Tremplin à la Cuvette" from 1919 onwards.
