The first ski jump at Sodražica was constructed in 1954 and in 1968 Oto Giacomelli jumped 38 meters there. Only in the end 1970’s the ski jumping hill at Jazbec came became livelier again when many junior competitions were organized and Jože Košmrlj improved the hill record on 42 meters. Even many Yugoslavian class jumpers like Vasja Bajc then participated in a competition on the enlarged jumping hill in 1981. Slavko Velikonja realized a new hill record of 47 m and Miran Tepeš unfortunately fell at 49 meters.
Afterwards another calm period around the jump followed and after a long time the next competition was hosted in 1996, where only 15 year-old Primož Gostič set up the still valid hill record of 50.5 m.
Again it took a long time for the jump to get used. Only in 2005 the reconstruction of the Jazbec jump was done and since two hills K40 and K20 can be used every winter.
