History:
In the small village of Rakek, the ski club Javornik was founded in 1931. Soon, first small ski jumping hills were set up.
In autumn 1941, a 30-meter ski jumping hill was constructed at Župenica meadow. In the opening competition on the Delo ski jumping hill, distances of up to 24 meters were initially achieved. After World War II, the ski jump was converted according to the plans of Stanko Bloudek and equipped with a concrete take-off. There were also regional competitions. Hill record holder was Dore Brecelj with about 30 meters.
In addition, in 1955 another ski jump was built at Dovce, a district of Rakek, where jumps of 15-20 meters were possible. In 1966, it was replaced by a new-construction in the immediate vicinity, which allowed jumps around 25 meters. There was jumping up to the 1970s.
