History:

The ski jumping club of Ponikve was founded in May 1996 and immediately the members started with the construction of two plastic covered ski jumping hills at Suših area. Plans for the K35 hill were made by Stanko Velikonja, K18 was designed by Janez Gorišek. Plastic mattings were sponsored by Sci Cai Monte Lussari from Tarvisio and later also a snow cannon was aquired. Training of young ski jumpers is the main focus of SSK Ponikve and with Junior World Champion of 2013 Jaka Hvala they have a prominent example.
