History:

The oil town Khanty-Mansiysk on Irtysh River is with its 80,000 inhabitants not only administrative center of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, but also the biathlon center of Russia. The Biathlon World Championships hosted there in 2003 and 2011.
As part of Russia's ski jumping and hill construction support program, German architect Werner Schertel designed the plans for the construction of a World Cup-ready ski jumping facility with K120 and K95 in 2004. However, the project hasn't been realized.
