History:

In 1948 a nordic combined section was opened in Kamensk-Uralsk on the basis of a 30-metre wooden ski jump constructed one year before. In the 1960's the idea of building a larger facility came up, because talented local athletes had nowhere to improve their skills. A standard project was prepared, but it did not fully fulfil expectations, but in spite of all difficulties, finally a 60-metre-hill was built.
The area near the facility was used as a motocross track and the structure itself attracted not only the brave daredevils who climbed to the top of it, but also, unfortunately, suicides, and this became the main impetus in the early 21st century to dismantle it.
Local residents recall that there was a caravan underneath the ski jumping hill and next to it there was also a small wooden construction, on which jumps were also performed.
