In 1955 skiing enthusiasts, pupils of a mining technical school, built up a small simple snow ski jumping hill on the nearby slope and next to it in the same year a then modern 40 metres ski jumping hill (K48) was constructed. In the following years smaller ski jumps of 12 metres (K15) and 25 metres (K28) were built in order to develop the local ski jumping school. With this, local ski jumpers and Nordic Combined were successful first in Siberia and then in all-Russian competitions.
All these ski jumping hills still exist today, although the largest one has long since been abandoned, is in ruin and in need of repair. The two smaller ones still function in winter.
