History:

Inyushensky bor is the oldest forest complex in Novosibirsk with an area of about 60 hectares. It is a remnant of a natural forest area at the confluence of the Plyuschikha and Kamyshenskiy streams. From the south, the forest was adjacent to the plots of the village of Ust'-Inya. In 1925 on the northern edge of the forest the Chinese organised a suburban farm, on the place of which in 1956 the ski base of the association "Burevestnik" was established. And 8 years later the first and only 40-metre ski jumping hill was constructed here according to a project of Promstroyproekt company from Novosibirsk. It had a very high metal construction of the inrun tower. Previously, local ski jumpers trained on a makeshift wooden tiny 'ski jump'. Interestingly, the first (and maybe the last, unfortunately there is no information about other results from any later competitions) record holder of the facility was the architect from Promstroyproect, Yuri Berezennyi, who jumped 53 metres (and in the other 2 training jumps he also jumped 50 and 52.5 metres). Jumpers from Tomsk also took part in these training rounds.
However, the facility fell into disrepair over time, dilapidated steadily and was finally demolished. In the 1960s it was wanted to build also another 70-metre hill, but the plans were not realised. This natural attraction of Novosibirsk is located on Vybornaya Street.
