History:

For many years, the 50-metre-high ski jumping hill built in Bryansk's 1000-year park was almost a cult place for the citizens of Bryansk. Even in the early 1980s, competitions were held on it and it was an exciting spectacle. Later, it turned out to be unsafe for jumpers and its technical parameters did not meet standards. For a long time the facility formally belonged to the local sports school "Olympus", but it could not afford to maintain the disused ski jumping hill. Local authorities were alarmed that the rusty iron construction was hanging over a nearby playground and endangering children. There was also plenty of amateurs climbing on it.
A technical expert opinion showed that the main metal parts of the inrun did not pose a danger, which led to the idea of converting the ski jump into a viewing platform. However, no investor was found and the construction was demolished in December 2018.
