In 1985, on the area of Primary School No. 1 in Szczyrk, a 12-meter ski jumping hill was built, designed by engineer Jurand Jarecki. The originator of the creation of the ski jumping hill was Bronisław Porębski, and Bolesław Węgrzynkiewicz also helped. The ski jumping hill was mainly used by the school's students. The wooden structure was probably demolished in 1996.
