At the end of the 1940s, on the initiative of Aleksander Starzeński, a local activist of the Polish Ski Association, a ski jumping hill was established in Sucha Beskidzka, functioning even in the 1960s. Although the artificial inrun tower was pulled down, amateurs jumped there until 2005.
