The first ski jumping hill in the former Polish capital, Kraków, was built in the 1920s. In the 1950s the construction of the new ski jumping hill started on the basis of the project of the vice-world champion in 1938, Stanisław Marusarz. The work was stopped due to the non-payment of salaries due to Marusarz and the workers. In the end, the construction was completed without the participation of Marusarz. The hill itself functioned for a short period. To this day, the stone take-off table is well preserved.
