History:

The very first ski jump at Raufoss in Vestre Toren municipality was set up by "Rødfos Turnforening" at Nyseth, north of Lønnberget in 1902.
On 1921-02-13 Lønnbergbakken was inagurated and the competition was won by Håkon Nordengen from Raufoss, while Ola Grimsby from Gjøvik set up the first hill record of 37 m. The first conversion took place in 1927 and as a consequence the hill made jumps on more than 60 meters possible.
For the first Norwegian Championships at Raufoss in 1940 Lønnbergbakken was once again enlarged and Hilmar Myhra gained the national title. After the reconstruction of the ski jumping facility in 1959 the NM was hosted a Raufoss again in 1969 and in subsequent years numerous junior nationals were organized.
The converted normal hill K86 was completed in 1981 and in the following year the Norwegian Championships were held there again (winner Roger Ruud).
The last bigger conversion was done in 1986-87 with the enlargement of the normal hill to K90 and the reconstructions of K60 and K40. The two smaller hills K15 and K12 were added in 1988 and in 1990 the K60 hill was equipped with porcelain track and plastic mattings for summer ski jumping.
In 1990 Lønnberg Hoppsenter was even host of a Ski Jumping World Cup competition, which had to be moved from Bærum to Raufoss. Winner of that competition was Andreas Felder.
Further Norwegian nationals were held at Lønnberget in 1999 and 2009, as well as Hovedlandsrennet in 2005. Today the five ski jumps mainly serve for the practising of young up-coming ski jumpers and the K90 hill is part of Norges Cup.
