History:

The first Lysgårdsbakken ski jump at the foot of 521-meter high Kanthaugen hill was built already in 1901-1902 and inaugurated on February 15, 1930. The first hill record was set at 26.5 meters. In 1909 the first Hovedlandsrennet (at that time the NM) was held there. The longest jump was 30 meters. Further NM were held there in 1927 and 1948. Furthermore, in 1939 the Winter World University Games were held at Lillehammer. In 1964 ski jumping activities ended and in 1966 the inrun structure collapsed.
