Hasselbakken was constructed by Skotfoss TI&F in 1956 and has been used very much in the past. There are still regular competitions on the hill. The ski jump is situated at a place called Gulset, which is about 3 km west of the centre of Skien in Telemark.
From 2014 until spring 2016 the ski jumping facility had been renovated progressively and all four Hasselbakkene K62, K38, K17 and K7 were equipped with new plastic mattings.
