In the early days, there was a single ski jumping hill at Farbakken. Locals say, there also used a smaller second one, however there are no further information about it. In the early 1960's, an inrun tower was built. Thanks to its steepness and size, also the jump distances increased. Thanks to floodlights, the ski jump attracted high interest at ski jumpers from all over the region.
In autumn 1980, the tower was damaged, but reconstructed within just a single year. After a few years of frequent use, the interest in ski jumping decreased and so the hill was less and less in use. Eventually, the tower was demolished and the hill remained history.
