History:

Dyrdalsbakken was built in 1925. Interestingly, the place which gave the hill its name, a settlement called Dyrdal, is located in the community of Drammen in the Viken Fylke, while the hill itself was located in the community of Holmestrand in the Fylke Vestfold og Telemark.
Just before World War II, the hill was modernised and enlarged, which led to a new hill record in 1940. In 1959, the smaller hill was built, which was more in use than the bigger neighbor from the 1960's on and also equipped with floodlights.
