The Gjerpenkollen ski jumping facility at Drammen/Konnerud consists of the two plastic covered hills K74 and K15, as well as two training jumps K35 and K5. In 1932 at this place the very first ski jump was constructed, in 1960 today’s ski jumping hill was built and in 1987 converted into K74. The plastic covering was done in 1997 and since mainly K74 jump has been very popular for training and competitions.
In summer 2008 the mattings of K74 became heavily damaged through rain falls. One year later a 3.8m crowns (0.5m Euro) expensive modernization of the whole ski jumping facility had started and by May 2010 all four jumps were covered with new plastic mattings.
