History:

Andreasbakken was located at the forest entry in the small settlement of Nordre Fjuk. It was built in 1940's by a farmer's son called Andreas, which is the origin of the name of the ski jumping hill. Andreas, who was 14 years old at that time, wanted to try ski jumping and so built an inrun tower on his own. The ground, on which it was built, consisted of rock and therefor was very solid.
But it was not just him, who used the hill, also boys from the neighborhood came. Some of them even used the hill to prepare themselves for jumping the nearby Fjukbakken.
