After its completing by Hopperns SK in 1933 the Refneskollen on Jeløya island, which is part of Moss municipality today, was one of the biggest and likely the most steep ski jumping hill of Norway. The Refneskollen shall have been so steep that many ski jumpers were even afraid of jumping too far into the sea.
