In June 2012 Latvian Cabinet had agreed to fund the construction of a new winter sports complex in Sigulda until 2017, including ski jumping hills and snowboard park.
4th November 2017 three small ski jumps with plastic mattings were opened at the "Fischer Slēpošanas centrs" in Sigulda. Two clubs use them - SK Lidojošais Slepotajs from Sigulda and Lidozols from Ligatne. The opening ceremony was attended by Talis Pavulinš (best Latvian ski jumper from Soviet Union period) and Kristaps Nežborts (first Latvian ski jumper who competed in World Championships) - Nežborts even jumped new hill record at bigger ski jump.
