History:

At Muju Deogyu Skiing Resort, which was opened in 1990, a ski jumping facility with four plastic covered ski jumping hills K120, K90, K60 and K35 was completed on September 16, 1996. In the following week, two COC competitions were held and won by Adam Małysz. In end of January 1997, the Winter Universiade was hosted at Muju-Chonju and ski jumping competitions were held on the hills at Muju Resort. At this occasion, Japan’s Yoshiharu Ikeda jumped hill records on both ski jumps. A Summer Grand Prix competition of ski jumpers should have been hosted on the K120 in 2000, but was cancelled. Since the Muju ski jumps have been in place, the Korean ski jumping training centre had been established there, but meanwhile it has been shifted to PyeongChang.
