History:

On February 5 and 6, 1927 the “Skiverein Bock und Teich” from Lichte in Thuringia, celebrated a happy occasion, with the opening of the Teichschanze. For two days competitions in different disciplines took place and Paul Scheidig jumped with nice 33 m the first hill record.
After 1945 the winter sportsmen of “Bock und Teich” belonged to the BSG Stahl Schmiedefeld, which helped material and with uncountable hours of work to modernize the old Teichschanze.
The community hosted regional championships and other competitions. But then the traditional community was declining, especially after the death of Willy Greiner, the soul of skiing there.
