History:

The Hainich-Schanze at Heyerode was constructed in winter 1957 by the "Nationales Aufbauwerk" (NAW) and funded by means of VEB Zahlenlotto (the state lottery). The official inauguration of the ski jumping hill was held on March 23, 1958 and the hill record was established at 26 meters.
