History:

After almost 4 years of construction time within the NAW (national construction program), the ski jumping hill on Kieferberg at Schirgiswalde with its 7 meter high wooden inrun tower was officially inaugurated on February 26, 1961. Already in January 1961, a wintersports festival with 200 participants was held at Schirgiswalde. However, the ski jump was already deconstructed in mid 1970's.
