History:

There used to be a small ski jump in Poppengrün, a small village of the community Neustadt in Vogtland. It was built by enthusiasts of the time. The name of the carpenter who made the inrun scaffolding has survived to this day: Willy Röder from Neustadt i.V., who was a winter sports enthusiast and also actively participated in the construction of the Werda ski jump. The soil works for the outrun were carried out with the help of the LPG. The inauguration of the ski jump, probably in 1953, was combined with a village festival. The small group of Poppengrün jumpers also started at competitions in Werda and Bergen. The hill itself existed until the 1970s.
