In the small town Hennersdorf near Schmiedeberg in Eastern Erz Mountains the junior hill for young ski jumpers was inaugurated in 1981. During the single-handed construction of the wooden structure and the soil works the members of the sports club were supported by agricultural cooperative farmers from the surrounding towns and the supply of plastic mattings was ensured by DTSB.
With the help of voluntary workers and judges of the skiing section summer and also some winter competitions were hosted, later the jumping hill was equipped with lights for night competitions and a small but massive judges' tower was built.
From this very small club Jens Steinigen was promoted. As a child he jumped on this hill, but then he changed to biathlon at Zinnwald and even became Olympic Champion in 1992, won World Cup races and became German champion.
With the reunification 1990 ski jumping activities in the small town Hennersdorf ended and the no more used ski jumping hill was dismantled.
