History:

In sommer 1952 the construction of a ski jumping hill at Girkhausen started and on 1952-12-21 the first ski jumping competitions was hosted with many foreigners participating. At this occasion the ski jump was inaugurated as “Erikaschanze”. It was regularily used for ski jumping until 1980’s, the last jumps were performed in 1997.

die Schanze in Girkhausen wurde bis 1997 be-
sprungen und sie ist eigentlich noch immer
sprung bereit wenn die nicht so zugewachsen
wäre Gruß
